Description

The GM Performance Parts 88958679 is a high-performance, one-piece aluminum timing cover kit for GM, enabling the use of a front-mounted small-block Ford-style distributor and a mechanical fuel pump. 

Suits LS Wet sump engines. This conversion kit is designed for carbureted LS setups, allowing traditional distributor ignition and fueling.

Key Features and Details:
  • Application: Fits most GM LS-Series engines (except LS7 and LS9).
  • Function: Ideal for converting electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines to a 4BBL carburetor and distributor setup.
  • Included Components: One-piece aluminum front cover assembly.
  • Requirements: Requires a special water pump, accessory drive, damper, distributor, and fuel pump (not included in the basic kit).
  • Common Use: Used in circle track racing engines, such as the CT525, which require a conventional distributor.
