Malex Motorsports retrofit shifter.

This shifter kit has been designed and engineered in Australia as a simplified shifting mechanism for VE/VF TR 6060 or VE T 56 transmissions.

This shifter addresses a number of problems found when using this transmission in retro conversions.

There is no need to modify the transmission to replace the original VE remote shifter. Mounting the new shifter is easy using the included clamp and 2 bolts. The shifter sits above the output flange 770 mm rearward from bell housing face. More suited for use in 1990 on models.

This shifter is also a common choice for LS and or TR6060 conversions in Supra, S13, S15, BRZ, Toyota 86 and more! 

The shifter pivot bush housing has been designed to accept the original VE shift lever enabling the use of either the factory lever or the lever supplied in the Malex Motorsports kit.

The mounting plate also has provision to mount a speed sensor which will read from a reluctor/tone wheel mounted on a custom Malex Motorsport tail shaft flange which is available with and without the pulse ring in our other listings. The shifter base plate can be trimmed if the sensor is not required.

The kit is constructed from 6061 aircraft grade billet aluminum and laser cut 304 stainless plate and hardware. The stick itself is high tensile nickel coated steel with a nylon bush. All aluminium components are black anodised. All shifter components are manufactured locally in Sydney to ensure quality.
