Melling offers a timing chain damper adapter bracket for the early LS Engines. The timing chain damper bracket allows you to use the upgraded LS damper (12588670 Sold separately). The bracket uses the 3 lower cam/thrust retainer plate bolts for attachment. Timing chain dampers prevent chain from "whipping" during rpm changes. Every Melling timing chain damper bracket is manufactured from high quality steel and is designed to provide long lasting worry free performance.
